Have you seen this stolen Sea-Doo from Sandwich?

image (4) image image (1) image (2) image (3)PC Stuart Duncan of Kent Police asks if any of us have seen this boat which was stolen from Sandwich on 7 August . It’s a Seadoo Challenger 1800, white and blue exterior, silver and purple interior, and has a small chip to stb quarter of bow.  Model Sport 5775 HIN US-CEC31164A303. It was stolen from the locked compound of Sandwich Bay Sailing Club. Offenders broke into the compound in broad daylight and stole the boat which was on a Seadoo trailer.

 

Gillingham Marina “On the Water”, Sat 17 May 2014

If you want to try out an Alto two person, single trapeze, club racing dinghy, pop over to Gillingham Marina between 10.00 am and 4.00 pm on Saturday after supporting your club’s Push The Boat Out event . In conjunction with the Medway Watersports Centre you can also try out a RIB. The latest Suzumar and Sun sport inflatable dinghies are on show in the chandlery where VAT-free deals are on offer betwen 9am and 4.30pm.

Kent Police vessel for sale: going, going, gone!

Kent Police purchased the boat eight years ago for £150,000 and spent £200,000 refitting her to the force’s specifications. Now the marine unit will be relocated back to Maidstone sharing other duties such as search and rescue. They will have to launch their RIB from a trailer.

Is your club vibrant? Nominate it for Club of the Year!

The closing date for the RYA Club of the Year 2014 is 18 November. Make sure your club has completed the Expression of Interest form to be in with a chance of being selected as on of the best clubs in the UK. Shortlisted clubs will be invited to complete a full application by 6th January 2014, and five finalists will be chosen by the RYA Honours and Awards Panel later in January, to attend the RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show in March. Boat and Chandlery Fair, Gillingham Marina, 6 and 7 July

Established in 2010, the Medway Boat & Chandlery Fair is the largest boat show on the Kent Coast.  There will be over 60 sail and motor boats on display.
