Queenborough Harbour Bank Holiday Trot Boat Service
This weekend the Queenborough Harbour trot boat service will run:
- Sat 28 May: 10am to 9pm
- Sun 29 May: 10am to 9pm
- Mon 30 May: 10am to 6pm
New Marina Planned at Medway Council Offices
Medway Council has revealed plans to build a marina behind its offices on Gun Wharf, Chatham. The authority owns the freehold of the land, building and some of the river bed which includes part of Waterfront Park, part of the Riverside Pay and Display Car Park and the building known as Riverside 4. The Crown Estate owns the bed of the river, and Medway Council hopes to enter a joint venture to bring the marina to fruition.
Chatham Marina in £500k expansion
MDL Marinas has announced that the Chatham Marina expansion will be ready for the new season, with 54 additional berths available from next month. Read more

By the way, the Queenborough Harbour trot boat will be operating at weekends through the winter.
Queenborough Harbour trot boat winter service
Until now the Queenborough Harbour trot boat has stopped operating at the end of October and started again the following April. This year, for the first time, through the winter (November to March) the trot boat will be available every Saturday & Sunday between 10am and 4pm.
Kent Yacht and Motorboat Fair, 9-11 October
The Clarke & Carter Yacht & Motorboat Fair takes place at MDL Chatham Marina on the 9 – 11 October between 10:00 and 16:30.
RKJ Pontoon named at Queenborough
New York has its JFK Airport. Now Queenborough has the RKJ Pontoon, named this morning in honour of Sir Robin Knox-Johnston who was visiting to see his Clipper Fleet set off on their Round the World Race today. Sir Robin, who is a Patron of Queenborough Harbour Trust, was full of praise for what the Trust has achieved.
