Notice to Mariners 6 of 2026 – Sunken boat on approach to Allington Lock

A vessel has sunk downstream of the M20 motorway bridge on the approach to Allington Lock. At high water, the wreck is not clearly visible and lies within the navigation channel, presenting a potential hazard to passing vessels.
Peel Ports, the navigation authority for this area, has been informed and has installed marker buoys to indicate the position of the wreck.
All boaters are advised to proceed with extreme caution when approaching Allington Lock.
