Notice to Mariners 17 of 2025 – Survey Operations – Springfield Pumping Station

Date of Operation: 09 September 2025

Please be advised that GPS MACS will be conducting a survey of the intake structure at Springfield Pumping Station, located approximately 2km upstream of Allington Lock on the River Medway.

The survey will be carried out using a Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV), which will be launched from the riverbank. To ensure the safety of both the survey team and passing vessels, a 5-metre exclusion zone will be enforced around the works area.

Safety Measures:

•     A safety boat will be positioned upstream and downstream of the survey site to alert and guide passing vessels.

•     Mariners are requested to navigate with caution and comply with instructions from safety personnel.
