Hollowshore Cruising Club

Hollowshore Cruising Club
Key: SC, MC

Hollowshore Cruising Club has a bright, modern clubhouse at Youngboats boat yard, at the head of Oare Creek, Faversham. We are a friendly, active club with a full programme of cruising and social events, and make a special effort to welcome those new to sailing. Members frequently cruise in company and regularly can be found in the Medway, the Thames Estuary and East Coast ports, as well as those in France and Holland.

Oare Creek is just off the sheltered waters of The Swale, with its interesting and historic creeks that provide a great introduction for those just taking up boating. There are even two free club buoys for occasional overnight stays, or awaiting the tide to get back to your mooring. Many of the members have long experience of local waters and are more than happy to offer advice to newcomers.

Applications for membership, from both sail and power, are welcome: full details on the website, including a membership form. The club bar is open at Sunday lunchtimes, between 12 noon and 3pm and prospective members are very welcome to come along with their families to find out more about us. You can be sure of a warm welcome.
